Taking the conference beyond the walls of the conference centre
2019 was an important year for medical associations meeting in Glasgow, each with a serious public health message at their heart, and People Make Glasgow Healthier was created.
The People Make Glasgow Healthier initiative is about championing the beyond tourism benefits that conferences bring to their host destination and amplifying the message or theme of the conference to a public audience, bringing a positive health message to the citizens of Glasgow and leaving a lasting legacy in the city.

Glasgow Convention Bureau was awarded a Special Chairmen's Excellence Award by the Association of British Professional Conference Organisers (ABPCO) for the People Make Glasgow Healthier initiative.
