The iconic Café Gandolfi’s location in the heart of Glasgow’s Merchant City marks over three decades of continental sophistication on the Scottish restaurant scene.
Owned by Glasgow Gael, Seumas MacInnes, and housed in the building which was originally the offices of the old cheese market. The restaurant is fitted out with the sinewy wooden sculpture-like work of admired furniture maker Tim Stead.
Café Gandolfi is known for passionate promotion of local Scottish produce, and Gandolfi’s signature dishes rely entirely on fresh ingredients sourced from small suppliers across Scotland, especially the Highlands and Islands.
The bar in the loft above Café Gandolfi offers intimate seclusion. Inside, stunning handcrafted furniture contrasts with exposed metal beams overhead. The menu is unashamedly Scottish, and replicates the offering downstairs. This is complemented with a decent selection of Scottish beer, a vast array of malts, and a large selection of wines.
Both the bar and restaurant can be hired exclusively for a dinner or small event. The experience team at will help design your menu to your requirements and budget.
