Founded in 1796 as “the Place of Useful Learning”, Strathclyde is a leading international technological university in the heart of the city, proud winner of Times Higher Education’s University of the Year (2012), Entrepreneurial University of the Year (2013), and Business School of the Year (2016).
Within easy reach of transport networks, hotels and the Scottish Event Campus (SEC), our flagship Technology & Innovation Centre (TIC) offers state-of-the-art conferencing facilities all year round.
On Level 2, TIC’s versatile Main Auditorium accommodates up to 450 delegates in air-conditioned comfort, and a system of movable walls allows us to subdivide the room into a flat-floored space for 150 and tiered auditoria seating 150 or 300. A further 150-seater auditorium on Level 1 is perfect for day conferences and large breakout groups.
Upstairs on Level 3, the Centre’s Conference Rooms offer bright, comfortable accommodation for up to 50 delegates. With flexible layouts and user-friendly audio-visual solutions, they are perfect for meetings, smaller conferences and breakout sessions. Movable walls allow us to open some rooms to accommodate 60-80 delegates. Spacious, interconnected foyers link the conferencing spaces on Levels 1, 2 and 3 - with natural daylight and contemporary furnishing, they are the perfect venue for networking, catering and exhibitions.
At the top of the building, the Executive Suite offers a flexible, self-contained venue for up to 100 delegates, with its own registration area and networking foyer, as well as views right across the campus.
Our friendly and experienced team is on hand to help you make the most of our facilities, working with you from enquiry to delivery to ensure that your delegates have the very best experience. All of our rooms feature the latest in projection, display and audio technology, in-house Technicians are on-hand to offer support, and delegates can connect to fast, free and reliable guest WiFi. Our in-house catering team has designed a varied collection to complement your event and we’ll happily work on bespoke options to delight your delegates.
