Mharsanta

Situated in the heart of Glasgow's Merchant City, Mharsanta offers a genuine taste of Scotland. We have a passion for using seasonal, local produce and are here to ensure your guests have the best experience from the moment they walk through the door.

Capacity in the main restaurant is 80 with up to a further 30 seated in our private dining room or 40 for a casual corporate event.

Mharsanta is centrally located with excellent transport links, street parking, coach drop off, regular buses, taxi links and is only a 10-minute walk from the main train stations. There are many accommodation providers within easy walking distance. These range from serviced apartments to larger hotels including The Fraser Suites, Moxy Hotel, Virgin Hotel, Clayton Hotel, Yotel and voco Grand Central Hotel.

The USP of Mharsanta is serving home cooked Scottish cuisine using locally sourced Scottish produce, house favourites include Steak ‘n Sausage Pie, Shetland Island Mussels, freshly landed Scottish Fish ‘n Chips and MacSween’s Haggis. We have an excellent team who will provide fantastic hospitality throughout your visit and will cater for all your guests needs.

Mharsanta is open year-round and offers competitive trade rates with packages to suit all budgets. We cater for FITs, small groups, M.I.C.E. groups and larger tour operators.

As a small independent business, we are very agile and can create bespoke menus to suit each client. Examples include 2 or 3 course dining packages, multi-course tasting menus paired with whisky, welcome and farewell dinners, gin and whisky experiences and live music.

We have created several unique experiential dining experiences, working with local visitor attractions to enhance the guest experience. These include the Trad Trail Experience, Walking Whisky Tour, City Sightseeing Glasgow Bus Tour including lunch or dinner and our NEW Immersive taste of Scotland dining experience.
