With venues ranging from beautiful wood panelled rooms through to grand Victorian halls and state-of-the-art seminar rooms and lecture theatres, capable of accommodating anything from 5 up to 1250 delegates.

The University of Glasgow is one of the most impressive academic venues in the UK for conferences, meetings, training, exhibitions and product launches. The Conferences and Events department offers an impressive portfolio of venues, a range of accommodation, catering and full spectrum of technical facilities and support.

University of Glasgow offers a number of visitor and tourist accommodation including; Kelvinhaugh Gate, Cairncross House Murano Street, Queen Margaret Residences and Wolfson Hall.

  • A small lecture theatre at the University of Glasgow. A small, dimly lit space with 4 rows of tiered, self-righting seats. The floor is carpeted and the walls are panelled with wood. The image is taken from the front corner of the space and the edge of a wooden lectern, a monitor, projection screen and flipchart can all be seen. 2 projectors are mounted on the ceiling, further tech equipment is visible at the back of the room. On the fire side of the room an open Fire Exit lets daylight in.

  • An image of Glasgow University's famous cloisters. Sandstone pillars of different sizes, arches and vaulted ceilings from a mesmerising geometric pattern. The floor is even, stone paving. The photo is taken in the day and daylight can be seen between some of the pillars.

  • The UoG's Bute Hall arranged for a lecture or talk. A magnificent space with wooden floors, stained glass windows & a tall 2-storey vaulted, wooden ceiling. A first floor balcony can be seen running the length of the outer walls. Blue velvet chairs with metal legs are arranged into dozens of rows with a wide central isle. Carved, wooden railings & benches can be seen around the rooms edges, on both floors. A temporary stage with blue carpeting, a panel of chairs and a projection screen can also be seen.

  • The UoG's Turnbull Room shows a room with dark wooden floor boards, covered in main part, with a thick, patterned, turquoise rug. 3 large tables are placed together, with 14 wire-legged chairs around them, 2 seats are taken by people working. The room is old and lavish with dark wooden panelling and a large carved stone archway in the far wall. The upper portion of the walls are painted a matt turquoise with a border of gilt fleur-de-lis. A white stone fireplace and a large oil portrait adorn the left wall.
